Origin

Humeral head: Medial epicondyle. Ulnar head: Olecranon & posterior border of ulna

Insertion

Pisiform, hamate, base of 5th metacarpal

Actions

  • Flexes hand at wrist joint
  • Adduction of hand at wrist joint
  • Very weak flexion of the elbow joint

Innervation

Ulnar nerve (C7,C8, T1)
